Who is the orange cap holder in the 2024 IPL?

Virat Kohli is the first player to score 500 runs in IPL 2024. He remains the league's top run-scorer this season after scoring an unbeaten 70 off 44 balls in Royal Challengers Bengaluru's nine-wicket win over Gujarat Titans on Sunday.
On the same day, Ruturaj Gaikwad, the Chennai Super Kings captain, scored 98 in a big win over Sunrisers Hyderabad, to move up to second place on the table. His 447 runs from nine games have come at a strike rate of nearly 150.
In third place is Titans' Sai Sudharsan, who scored 84 not out in the defeat to RCB, with 417 runs from ten matches. Sanju Samson, the Rajasthan Royals captain, is at No. 4, with 385 runs at 161.08. Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul rounds out the top five with 378 runs.
Rishabh Pant, the Delhi Capitals captain, is sixth, with 371 from ten matches, and Kolkata Knight Riders opener Sunil Narine, who made 71 off 32 balls in Friday night's humdinger against Punjab Kings, follows with 357 runs.
CSK's Shivam Dube, Sunrisers' Travis Head, and Mumbai Indians' Tilak Varma complete the top ten.
Among the top 20 run-makers, two Sunrisers batters lead the way in terms of strike rate - Abhishek Sharma has the best, 214.89. Head follows close on his heels with 211.25. Jake Fraser-McGurk, outside the top 20, has the extraordinary strike rate of 237.50; he has made 247 runs from five innings this season.
Jos Buttler is the leading century-maker in this year's IPL, with two hundreds. Marcus Stoinis' 124 not out against CSK is the highest individual score of the season. Jonny Bairstow, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rohit Sharma, Will Jacks, Narine, Gaikwad, Kohli and Head are the other batters to have scored hundreds this IPL. Kohli and Samson are the only batters to have made four fifties; 11 batters have three fifties.

Who is the purple cap holder in the 2024 IPL?

Jasprit Bumrah of Mumbai Indians continues to be No. 1 on the wicket-takers' list for IPL 2024. He has taken 14 wickets from nine games, the same as CSK's Mustafizur Rahman (eight matches) and Punjab Kings seamer Harshal Patel (nine matches), but his economy of 6.63 is lower than the other two.
In fourth place with 13 wickets from only six games is CSK fast bowler Matheesha Pathirana, who took 2 for 17 in the 78-run win over Sunrisers on Sunday. Three other bowlers have taken 13 wickets each - SRH's T Natarajan, Mukesh Kumar of Delhi Capitals, and Yuzvendra Chahal of Rajasthan Royals, who last week became the first bowler in the history of the IPL to take 200 wickets.
Five bowlers are on 12 wickets apiece: Kuldeep Yadav and Khaleel Ahmed of DC, Sam Curran and Arshdeep Singh of PBKS, and Gerald Coetzee of MI.
Only three bowlers have taken five-fors so far this season - Bumrah, Yash Thakur of Lucknow Super Giants and Sandeep Sharma of Royals. Eight bowlers - Pathirana, Kuldeep, Natarajan, Mustafizur, Arshdeep, Coetzee, Tushar Deshpande and R Sai Kishore of Titans - have taken four in an innings.
Chahal, Kuldeep and Narine are the only spinners among the top 20 most successful bowlers in the 2024 IPL. Narine has the second-best economy rate after Bumrah among the top 20 wicket-takers, 6.96.
